When I was a youth group leader, like most church youth groups, we had plenty of activities where they could have fun while they were learning about God. We knew that it’s always best to teach teens through activities when possible.
Our goal was always to teach them how to look in their bibles and discover for themselves what the bible had to say on various subjects (let’s face it, many teens rarely open their bibles outside of youth group and church).
Beauty of God’s Creation Crossword Puzzle
This crossword puzzle Bible study came about after one of our annual camping trips.
Practically every one of the 30 or so teens made a comment about how beautiful the mountains, the sunset, the lake, the wildflowers. Just about everything they saw moved them, and they commented often how amazing God’s creation is.
After we got home, I heard several teens mention how there wasn’t enough emphasis on God during that camping weekend.
That got me thinking of how to incorporate a scriptural teaching on the beauty of God’s creation into an activity that would get the teens into their bibles. I prayed about it, and here is the result.
